Dr. Srihari S. Naidu is a nationally-renowned academic interventional cardiologist and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Winthrop University Hospital in Long Island, New York. Dr. Naidu's personal areas of expertise include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and alcohol septal ablation, angioplasty and stent placement, aortic and mitral valvuloplasty, ASD/PFO closure, and percutaneous ventricular assist device placement for high-risk angioplasty and heart failure. He is also available for comprehensive inpatient and outpatient consultations.
Involved in guiding the interventional cardiology field at the national level, Dr. Naidu is Founder and Chair of the Emerging Leader Mentorship (ELM) Program (www.scai.org/Careers/Mentorship.aspx) run by the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) in partnership with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF), and is a two-term Member of the ACC Interventional Scientific Council, which sets the interventional cardiology national agenda for the ACC. He also serves on the Scientific Program Committee for TCT Scientific Sessions, where he helps organize the Alcohol Septal Ablation technique-training session, and was recently named to the Board of Trustees of SCAI (www.scai.org/About/Trustees.aspx).
