Naidu is a nationally-renowned academic interventional cardiologist and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Treatment Center at Winthrop University Hospital in Long Island, New York. Dr. Naidu's areas of expertise include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and alcohol septal ablation, angioplasty and stent placement, aortic and mitral valvuloplasty (and mitral repair - Mitraclip), ASD/PFO closure, and percutaneous ventricular assist device placement for high-risk angioplasty and heart failure.
Involved in guiding the interventional cardiology field at the national level, Dr. Naidu is Founder and Chair of the Emerging Leader Mentorship (ELM) Program (www.scai.org/ELM) run by the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) in partnership with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF), is a two-term nationally-appointed representative to the ACC Interventional Scientific Council, and a member of the American College of Cardiology's Curriculum Development Work Group.
He is also an Associate Director of TCT, the largest interventional cardiology professional conference, where he helps run the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and Alcohol Septal Ablation technique-training session.
