Naidu is a nationally-renowned academic interventional cardiologist and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Treatment Center at Winthrop University Hospital in Long Island, New York. Involved in guiding the interventional cardiology field at the national level, Dr. Naidu is Founder and Chair of the Emerging Leader Mentorship (ELM) Program (www.scai.org/ELM) run by the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) in partnership with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF), is a two-term nationally-appointed representative to the ACC Interventional Scientific Council and was recently named to the American College of Cardiology's Cardiovascular Leadership Institute (ACC-CLI).
He also serves on the Scientific Program Committee for TCT Scientific Sessions, the largest interventional cardiology professional conference, where he typically helps organize the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and Alcohol Septal Ablation technique-training session. For his efforts and accomplishments, he was named a Trustee of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) in 2011.
